ESFL Women’s & Men’s Vets Leagues

Breaking news coming out of the ESFL today.

After many requests over the last few months we have decided the time is right to set up both a Women’s and Vets ESFL competition which we plan to start in the 2022 season.

The format will all depend on the number of teams who wish to enter but the plan would be to run same as the current open age competition.

Please forward the details to any interested parties and let us know if you are interested.

We require – which competition you are interested in , team name, contact (name, number and email) .

Regional teams from all emergency services, and prison service may apply, along with armed forces teams but these must be regional and not national sides in the interest of fairness.

If two regions are required to join in order to enter a squad, that is fine.  

In relation to the vets competition there are numerous options regarding the minimum age, this can be arranged once we know who is interested and we can set the rules accordingly after discussion with you all.

We aim to kick each season off as we did last week with the 5s comp , so next July will have three competitions at the same venue on the same day with an open age, women’s and vets tournament.

We have decided to begin the competitions in 2022 as we understand a lot of teams are newly created and establishing squads and funding. We believe this will give your teams enough time to get prepared , play some matches , get kit and equipment required and we can iron any issues out before we begin.

If you require assistance with purchasing new kit then please feel free to let us know as we have our own sponsorship coordinator who has already found sponsors for a number of the current ESFL teams enabling them to all get new playing strips. Also, the league works in partnership with a sports wear provider called Sports Bulk. They will beat any genuine quote and provide an excellent service.

Many of you will be aware about the open age competition going to Spain next year. Again this is something we would love to do with all three competitions.
